This past weekend Niner and I headed to San Francisco for the second time this year. This time we were with my cousin Emma and long time friends Marc and Marga. And of course Len was our wonderful hostess, taking us from one part of town to another, sometimes in one night, for the best eats and the best bars. We also spent a little time in San Jose and almost all day roaming around Napa's wine country. We came across the best views and, for a second, fantasized ourselves in a far away land -- like Germany or Scotland -- when we found ourselves facing a beautiful castle, complete with a moat, a bridge, and sheep! We completed our trip by visiting the Palace of Fine Arts to marvel at another amazing view and then headed over to that popular exit across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a wonderful weekend with great company. I <3 SF!

We lost our little Jadie a year ago today. We still love him and miss him so. It still pains me to think of how tragically we lost him. I hope he's happy in little doggie heaven. <3

For awhile now I've been wanting to do my part outside of work by donating blood to the Red Cross. However, I've been below the weight requirement (yay me!).. Until recently. Being optimistic about my weight gain, I happily singed myself up to give the gift of life. Unfortunately the very thing that caused the extra pounds, my trip to the Philippines, was also the same reason why I didn't meet another requirement. Cebu City, where my family is from and where I went on vacation in March, is considered a malaria prone area and because of this I wasn't allowed to donate blood. I was pretty disappointed when the Red Cross informed me that I'd have to wait an entire year to donate. I didn't feel so terrible about it, however, when they rewarded my attempt to do good with free tickets to the Laugh Factory and a Galaxy game. :) So last night we went to the Galaxy vs. Columbus Crew game at the Home Depot Center. It was my first time watching a professional soccer
