Beach Bum

Took Nacho to Sycamore Cove beach today. He is, by no means, a water dog, but he loves new adventures and is so sweet to always wanna be where we are. He got splashed by the strong waves that crashed into shore. He sunbathed as we sat overlooking the water. Glad we had a little bit of beach time with our little beach bum.

Ooh Baby I Love Your Way

We went to the Hollywood Bowl last night for a second visit this summer. A couple weeks ago we saw Kool and the Gang and Gladys Knight with Moo. This time Marlaina got free tickets from Ze Frenchman from CDD who she volunteers for. We saw Buddy Guy who was quite entertaining with his guitar playing shenanigans. The main act was Peter Frampton. I only know one song but the whole show was fun. He had guest musicians, including Randy Bachman who he played "Taking Care of Business" with. Lots of guitar solos and lots of great musicians last night.

The Munz Wedding

Lizzi and Paull's wedding couldn't have been more perfect, in my opinion. Rancho Providencia was beautiful, the weather was prefect, the breeze came on cue, loved how everything was decorated, and she even had Yogurtland for dessert!  Papa and his siblings. So Cute! Waiting for Lizzi and Paul to say their "I Do's!"   First dance. And there it is folks! My cousin is married! <3

Mama Duck

Florentijn Hofman's giant rubber duck has traveled around the world and made a stop this week at the Port of Los Angeles. Niner and I took Emma, Marga and Len to the Tall Ships Festival today to see the 60 foot tall duckie.  Niner and I also went on the USS Iowa. And I took this port view from the SS Lane Victory. Nothing like a big bright yellow rubber duck to bring everyone together! :)

Lizzi's Pre-Wedding Festivities

Lizzi had a tea party at the T-Room in Montrose for her bridal shower. It was everything cute. Her last hurrah was at Palm Springs. We stayed at the colorfully fun Saguaro. We spent all day Saturday having a relaxing time at the Hacienda Hot Springs where all the services were amazing. Dinner that evening was at Trio where Lizzi had a bachelorette surprise. We finished off with brunch at Norma's on Sunday.  I had a sushi dinner with the bride the week before her wedding, cuz a bride has to eat! It was nice to be able to catch up with her solo, away from the festivities.  We had one last pre-wedding celebration Friday, at Badmaash downtown. So much fun!

Timing

Sometimes life has impeccable timing. A reminder from Richard who's living it right in Bali.
