I'm in Orlando for the Disney Princess Marathon tomorrow. We went to Universal's Island of Adventure yesterday to specifically see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I will post more pictures soon but I was super excited to finally have butter beer. And it was damn delicious! Finally visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter yesterday. We entered the world of magic through Hogwarts Express by platform 9 3/4, walked through Diagon Alley, marveled at the interesting array of candies at Honeydukes and found my wand at Ollivander's. I got to see most of my faves for Valentine's day this year. The girls had an extended lunch to celebrate Val's birthday at Favorite Place in Glendale. We had a cute little meal and that rose water lemonade is just amazing! I was also able to visit my family for a bit and bring a fun heart balloon to my mom and Lola. I spent more time with Nancy and Val in the evening to watch "The Vow." And, although Niner had school (we celebrated the next day), we exchanged VDay gifts at home and were able to spend a bit of time together with our cute pup. This week I was able to catch up with family and friends. But what I'm most happy about is catching up with my training. I ran my pre-marathon 10mi I had planned for! I ran a couple times around Balboa Park and my knee didn't even bother me! I think my new insoles are really helping. It was a tough, run but I had plenty to keep me entertained in the route (ie ducks and a crane hunting for food). I hope this will have prepared me enough to finish the half marathon which is just around the corner! Wish me luck! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Niner and I saw Gotye at the El Rey last night. I had been waiting for this show for months and was super excited. Despite the show being sold out, we were lucky enough to be at the front with a great view. Gotye truly is a perfection with his sound. The acoustics were great and I heard his every word even though we were near the speakers. The balance of instrument and voice were just perfect.  Here's a sample of the show. Kimbra wasn't there so we sang her parts to "Somebody That I Used to Know" and the crowd sounded pretty great! My heart's a mess for music! <3

On Sunday Raha had her beautiful shower at Bell Canyon with all the special ladies in her life. We decorated onesies, unscrambled baby-related words, and Niner won the "How well do you know Mommy" game. I did my part to welcome baby by baking cuppies for the occasion and decorated them with jasmines. Mommy with her yummy Portos cake and the cupcakes.  Mana's pretty sweets table.
