Summer Trip

Packed and headed out for our trip as soon as we got off work today. On the road to stay at Bishop over night. Then we start our picturesque trip to Yosemite National Park in the morning. We stopped at Rosamond for a fast food dinner. We were at Rosamond a year ago to visit Mary Grace and the sky today was just as amazing as it was then. The last time I was in Yosemite was with family the summer before high school. We stayed in the cabins and it was so much fun. Niner was last in Yosemite about the same time too. We had to cancel our trip last year due to the fires; this trip has been a long time coming. Can't wait to be surrounded by all the natural beauty!

Summer Solstice

In recent years I've gotten to love the summer more. I still don't do that well in the heat, especially in Southern California, but it's not hard to enjoy the summer when there's so much great and free activities to do! Here's my summer bucket list! I've already gotten some of these on the calendar and I'm checking off a couple things today! Happy first day of summer!

Of course all the little girls in the room were crying out loud even before the movie started!  After the movie we made a last minute donut run in honor of National Donut Day. We headed out to DK's Donuts in Santa Monica. There was a long line but it was worth it! The Ube and red velvet donuts were so good! We each saved cronuts to have for breakfast the next morning. Since Nancy was down the street, we made a delivery and she was impressed as well. They ran out of the ube cronut, so we must go back for that!  Saturday we slept in which was glorious! The rest of the day was spent at LA Pride. We enjoyed just walking around, looking at all the co
