30 Beers for 30 Years

Last night Jen celebrated her 30th birthday hosting a beer tasting. We had a variety of beers to try, some were more popular than others as rated by the guests, but all very interesting. This is only a portion of the selection. The Hayden's backyard all decked out with pretty lights... And Jen pretending to drink from the "chuck it bucket." The birthday girl with Lucifer , one of her favorite picks of the night. 9er with Jen's "fuck my liver" beer helmet. Val and I using the new Hello Kitty camera app. Another fun night welcoming Jen to her 30s! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Baby Cassy

Jon's precious baby, Cassy, was baptized today at St. Casimir Church in Los Filez at a nice private ceremony. At 6 months we were finally able to meet her, and glad we did on her special day. Here's Cassy posing with mommy and daddy at the church. The reception was held at the fancy Odyssey in Granada Hills. It was so great to see my friend be a daddy. He was made for this and he's loving it! Glad we were able to be a part of baby Cassy's day. <3 - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

I Love LA

Tonight we went to our last Dodger game of the season. It was especially fun because they were giving out Hello Kitty plushes, with the fashionable feline decked out in Dodgers gear. Now that she's infiltrated America's favorite pastime, conquering the world will be a piece of cake! ;) We also finally had a Doyer dog loaded with chili and jalapeƱo. And it was Star Wars night! When the Dodgers scored, stole bases, and when Loney hit that home run, sounds of a cheering Wookiee filled the stadium. We were also able to head down the field to watch the Friday Night Fireworks dedicated to Star Wars. The game was even sweeter that the Dodgers finally WON while we were at a game!! (We've been on a horrible losing streak!) Hurray for baseball! I think we'll stop here for the season and end it on a good note. :) - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

31st with My Faves

Last Friday, I decided to stay local and celebrated turning 31 with my closest friends and cousins at Firefly in Studio City. It was a fun night in one of the last warm summer nights in LA. I was able to reconnect with old friends, catch up with other's (since we've all been so busy with our separate agenda's), shared laughs, felt the closeness of cousins, enjoyed an interesting menu, and drank more than I've had before that I woke up the next day rashy and swollen. In fact, this post serves as a distraction so I don't scratch my incredibly itchy torso. What can I say? Fun times, right?! Here are a few pictures.. Cheers to another cute year! <3

Beautiful Calm

I spent the last couple hours as a 30 year-old with my favorite person. Last night Niner took me along the Pacific Coast Highway for a nice ride. We laid out a blanket at the beach in Malibu, let the sand fall between our toes and watched the moonlight dance on the water as the waves crashed in. Then we headed passed the Santa Monica pier and to the promenade to enjoy a beer together. Tonight we had a fancy dinner at Nobu in West Hollywood and I got to open a little Tiffany's blue box. This is exactly what I needed for my birthday. To be with the only person that will always be there for me; the person who I love most in this world. <3 And so I am 31..

Another year..

It's almost that time of year again.. my birthday! :) I have to admit that I am not as happy about 31 as I was with 30. But, hey, I can't complain. As quick as the days seem to be going lately, I do feel extremely lucky to be where I am in life and to be surrounded by so much love. Here are a couple pictures from last year's awesome birthday celebration. Emma and I celebrated our 80's themed 30th birthdays on the Tiki Mermaid Cruise off of Marina del Rey. It was a great night that we shared with our family and closest friends. <3

Vegas Part Deuce

The last time we were at Vegas was to ring in the new year. We're back again to celebrate Jen's 30th birthday! Every trip to Sin City is always different. Can't wait to see what this trip has in store for us! :)
