Mmm Beer!

My liver can probably only tolerate 8 oz. of alcohol in one day. Yet it has been all about beer this year. In July we had the second annual The Great Drunk Fest at the usual spot @ The Rack in Woodland Hills. Raha, Eddie, Ryan C. Jen and Niner Mike and Randy Then we celebrated Mr. B's Bday at Septemberfest @ Sony Studios.  (Pictures from Cheryl Ann aka Cherry-Berry) Before After: Random guy, Ryan, Kate, Cheryl, DB, Sherwin, Niner, Tim, Cha, Junko Also for the second year in a row, we enjoyed some bratwurst and beer at the Oktoberfest in Alpine Village. Niner and Jerome Cheryl, Me, Mr. B, Niner With all the beerfesting, we decided to celebrate another month of beer at home with a NovemberFest Beer Tasting and Potluck. We enjoyed good food and board games with good company, and of course.. more good beer! A message from Niner, the Beer-connoisseur. Eddie, the winner, with the funkiest beer "receptacle."

Turkey Day

Although a large gathering of our extended family did not occur this year, the Turkey was still very much present on Thanksgiving day. My Mama and Lola (grandmother) put together quite an impressive spread. Where we'd be eating off of paper plates and plastic cups with a larger party, we were able to enjoy a more formal meal around the dining table. It was nice.. Mama, Lola, Kris, Auntie Bebe, BG, Papa Kris with the Bird Nacho and I Kris and I with our new little brother. Lol Then Kris and I met up Nine and the sibbies at Camarillo to pull an all-nighter shopping on Black Friday. There were some pretty amazing deals. I have to say that I was pretty behaved considering the circumstances. :)

Team PacMan

As cheesy as it sounds, it's kinda exciting to think that Filipinos around the world were watching, at the same time, in awe, at the anomaly that is Pacquiao. He won his eighth world boxing title yesterday against Margarito. I'm sure he gives hope to many little kids, especially those living in the most impoverished provinces of the Philippines. LA Times

Pura Vida

As my vacation comes to an end, I have still managed to squeeze in quality time with some of my fave people. I spent the evening with my little brother, Kris, last night. We each enjoyed a bowl of ramen at Daikokuya in Little Tokyo and shared a crepe loaded with red bean paste, mochi, and green tea gelato from Four Leaf Tea Room . Today Nacho and I made an impromptu trip to the Grilled Cheese Truck and delivered some cheesy goodness to Jessica then Marlaina at work. Glad I was able to see my Ninee in the middle of the day (Tuesday is her long day at work then school til 10:30pm). I am now sitting at the Starbucks in Sherman Oaks after spending a little time with Mikie before he heads back to SD. Also waiting for Valerie and a long over due catch-up session. This is a good time to share a few pictures from our trip to Mazatlan, which was the amazing, relaxing trip we had hoped for. We were very lucky to have been able to stay at Marlaina's parents' timeshare which

Two Years

As I sit here and wait to finally head to LAX for a much awaited, much needed mini, tropical vacation, I reminisce about the past two years. Two years. Time always seems to fly so quickly by when you most want it to move in slow motion, so better to cherish every moment. It seemed only yesterday that we made our vows, promising to be there for one another no matter the situation. This past weekend we celebrated our two-year anniversary by staying overnight at the fancy Hyatt in Orange County. We watched a play, Becky Shaw, and spent a day in Disneyland and California Adventure. What more fitting to celebrate a magical day that joined two people in love than to spend it at the happiest, most magical place on earth. :) Now our next adventure... Mazatlan!!
