Pura Vida

As my vacation comes to an end, I have still managed to squeeze in quality time with some of my fave people. I spent the evening with my little brother, Kris, last night. We each enjoyed a bowl of ramen at Daikokuya in Little Tokyo and shared a crepe loaded with red bean paste, mochi, and green tea gelato from Four Leaf Tea Room.

Today Nacho and I made an impromptu trip to the Grilled Cheese Truck and delivered some cheesy goodness to Jessica then Marlaina at work. Glad I was able to see my Ninee in the middle of the day (Tuesday is her long day at work then school til 10:30pm).

I am now sitting at the Starbucks in Sherman Oaks after spending a little time with Mikie before he heads back to SD. Also waiting for Valerie and a long over due catch-up session.

This is a good time to share a few pictures from our trip to Mazatlan, which was the amazing, relaxing trip we had hoped for. We were very lucky to have been able to stay at Marlaina's parents' timeshare which was by the beach. All we did for four glorious days was eat, sleep, lounge, and enjoy the water. The weather was amazing; not as humid as I had expected. There was not a cloud in the sky and the water was warm. Pops also treated us to some amazing meals. We had very tasty taco's at Diegos Beach House, a fancy Italian dinner at Villa Italia, a fun night with seafood and karaoke at La Palapa Del Mar.. to name a few. And of course, guacamole wherever we went!

Four days definitely was not enough, but coming home wasn't all sad. Its always nice to come home to our cozy little condo and our sweet little Nacho. :) It also didn't hurt that we went to one of the best shows ever! Jessica was able to get sweet PIT tickets to the Thievery Corporation/ Massive Attack show at the Gibson in Universal.

I may have a busy work week/ weekend ahead of me, but I'm sure this vacation will keep me content for awhile. At least until January. ;)

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us!
