A Christmas Story

Once upon a time, there was a very lucky girl. She had friends from all walks of life. She also had a very large family. Even if only for a short while, she was able to spend Christmas with each of them and she had a wonderful time..

Yeong, a friend from HS, came from Texas for a short visit during the holidays. Nancy, Valerie and I were able to meet up with him for lunch at Macaroni Grill in Northridge. It's always great to talk about old times and to catch up on the last 11 years. Like Val pointed out, it felt like we were all never really apart. Can't wait to do that again!

My cousin, Emma, always makes a point to invite me to her gatherings with her friends from work. They are a sweet bunch and I've enjoyed hanging out with them. Here are the girls at Mary and Rocco's Christmas party at their new place in Winnetka.

Marc with the girls.. and Cora passed out in the back. This picture says it all..

I got to see more of Marc during his visit to LA and also saw some friends from middle school I haven't seen in years. We met up at BJ's in Glendale and had a cute little gift exchange. (L -->R) Chuoung and his wife, Marc, Emma, Katie, Lizzie, Me, Fulbert, and Christina.

Niner and I had dinner with one of our favorite couples, Jen and Randy, at the Benihana in Santa Monica. Then we had some beer and good laughs at Brittania Pub.

On Dec 23rd we gathered around the pole to celebrate Festivus at Jessica's with the Band Buddies.

We've been spending Christmas Eve at the Arshadi-Arnold's for a few years now. It's always a great time with great food and great company.

On the same night Niner and I made a stop at Moo's house so I could open my presents. There, waiting for me, was my super mixer from Niner and Moo got me a cute/ gorgeous little cupcake pendant to go with it. :)

Christmas Day was spent with more family.

Then we celebrated some more at the Beduya's on Christmas night like we always do.

We also celebrated Darah's Birthday. That red velvet cake was delicious!

Finally, Niner got her present from me! Just as she guessed.. a Wii. And she's already spent plenty of time with it!

It was a beautiful Christmas!.. The End.

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us!
