I left my heart..

Correction.. I brought my heart with me to San Francisco. ;)

We were really afraid the forecasted rain would put a damper to our mini trip, but today was a beautiful day. We had a slow start and missed our scheduled tour to Alcatraz, but we had a fine time roaming the city by foot and shopping!

We started off the day visiting Len at her shop at Posh Bagel where she made us yummy sandwiches. It was nice to be able to chat with her even though she was working. We also just came back from dinner with Niner's cousin, Lisa, and her fiance at Georges down the street from our hotel. It was my first time meeting the both of them, and Niner hadn't seen Lisa since she was six! It was definitely nice getting to know them and meeting another of Niner's family member. (There's been a lot of that lately.) Unfortunately we got so caught up in conversation I forgot to get a pic. No worries though.. there will definitely be a next time.. and pretty soon, in fact.

Looking forward to the rest of this trip. <3

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us!
