After three years, we've finally figured out how to celebrate our anniversary and still enjoy Halloween.
On October 31st we checked in to the Best Western Plaza Sunset which was surprisingly cute and cozy considering its location in the midst of other fancy hotels, loud bars, famous clubs, and down the street from the House of Blues. The little hotel was quaint with a garden-like pool area and free breakfast which we gladly helped ourselves to the next morning.

For our anniversary we dined at Asia de Cuba. Although the lobster pad thai was quiet epic, the rest of their menu wasn't too impressive. Still, we enjoyed ourselves: the ambiance was perfect, the view was great, and I had the best company. ;)

The Halloween portion of our night was spent down the street at Carnival. It's always a great place to see people dressed in amazing costumes. Just walking around is pretty entertaining.

It was a perfect night, a nice little get-a-way, to celebrate another year of love and commitment. I am the luckiest girl to have someone so special, to love me unconditionally. Sure makes life so much sweeter. <3

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us!
