Portlandia Anniversary

On June 14, Niner and I celebrated 10 years of being together. She made a reservation for us at the Portland City Grill in Old Town Portland. I have to say that it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Probably the best service we've ever gotten.
First of all, the view up there was beautiful. It was a 360 degree view of the city. Even when we were at the bar waiting for our table, we had a great booth overlooking the Willamette and Portland's many unique bridges. When we got to our table, we had the same beautiful view with snow covered Mt. Hood in the background. And when we got there, our table was decorated with "Happy Anniversary" and heart confetti. Our server was super nice and, coincidentally remembered us from the Long Beach Jet Blue flight that she also took back to Portland. (We almost missed our flight and were the last ones on the plane, that's probably why we were familiar!) The food was delicious and everything was perfect!

Our trip to Portland was pretty great, so it says a lot that this was my favorite part of the whole trip.
Happy Anni to us! <3

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us!
