Family Vegas Trip

My family took a week long trip to Las Vegas and surrounding areas last week. I was able to join them for the couple days that I was off.

Here's Jon and Mama straight to the slots even while Papa was only checking in.

I spotted these Aladdin slot machines with the genie looking a lot like hologram Tupac. (Yes this is an important detail to post and remember!)

With the ladies before dinner.

With my favorite brothers. ;) One thing for sure.. they are entertaining. It's always a good time being on a road trip with these two. We took a break from gambling (Kris too..) to hang out at old town LV and have a late night Pho snack at Chinatown.

Every time I'm at Vegas I want to visit Red Rock Canyon. We finally made it out on this trip and it was beautiful. It was a pretty scenic 13 mi drive around the park.

Before I headed back home, we had lunch at Red Rock Hotel and Casino. I ran into my coworker, Yanti, who was also staying at Planet Hollywood, while I waited at the buffet line.

It was an action packed one day trip for me!

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us!
