Bangkok!!

Sawadee ka.
The start of our trip on Singapore Airlines.
I'm on a trip in Asia with my cousins Emma, Richelle, Tina, and her boyfriend Kevin. We were on a long 20+ hour flight including lay overs in Tokyo and Singapore. Needless to say, despite Singapore Airlines' amazing customer service and attentiveness, we were tired and anxious to start our adventure.
A Musical toilet in Tokyo complete with a bidet.
Our first stop is Bangkok which we added to our initial Groupon deal. And we're glad that we did. We are staying at the Pullman Hotel G in downtown Bangkok. The view of the city is amazing, the hotel is nice, clean and trendy, and the people here are so nice!
My first Tom Ka Gai in Thailand.
Our guide for tomorrow's set tour, Lee, picked us up at the airport and decided to stay with us for the day today as well. Within just a few hours in Bangkok we've already gotten personally tailored suits and shopped at MBK which is a huge eight-story mall. I had my first (yes I plan to have many more) Tom Kha Gai and Pad See Ew. We took the train back to the hotel and we are now getting ready for what will be an interesting evening..
Our view. It's a bit gloomy but beautiful. (Almost 5pm here.)
I hope I will have the opportunity to continue to update. :)

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us! We are at 50infive.us  if you want to
