Quick Hello

It's been quite sometime since I've posted. The little part of me that is OCD wants to catch up with missed posts. However, it's  probably more feasible  that I post short little updates a la Facebook..

So the most recent updates:
1. At the end of January we went on a four-day trip to Lake Tahoe with my middle school friends and my cousin Emma. It was beautiful and  was a perfect little get-a-way filled with drinking games, hot tub time in a cold setting, lots of laughter and playing with snow.

2. At the beginning of February we also went on a week-long trip to Cabo San Lucas with Ryan and Cheryl. The complete opposite trip but just as fun. We ate and drank all day, whether it was by one of our resort's pools or by the beach. We all came back well rested and with nice tans!

3. Starting tomorrow we will be busy with events leading up to Emma's wedding. Then we have a mini trip to Spring Training. I'm both excited and anxious about how tiring this will all be. But the fact that I am sick at the moment may be a huge factor.

4. Probably one of the biggest things going on at the moment is work related. Since mid-December, I have been off the floor and helping train hospital staff and physicians with the new computerized documentation and order entry that goes live in less than a month! We are now overloaded with work, trying to catch up with deadlines, and working OT just to meet those deadlines. I'm having to bring work home for the first time. I hate that but I love everything else! It's a nice break to be a part of a different aspect of nursing.

Well, not a bad update if I say so myself. :)

Oh, p.s. Thru my coworker Mike, I got a new teacup Yorkie for my mom, and he's adorable and the sweetest.

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us!
