Summer Trip

Packed and headed out for our trip as soon as we got off work today. On the road to stay at Bishop over night. Then we start our picturesque trip to Yosemite National Park in the morning.
We stopped at Rosamond for a fast food dinner. We were at Rosamond a year ago to visit Mary Grace and the sky today was just as amazing as it was then.
The last time I was in Yosemite was with family the summer before high school. We stayed in the cabins and it was so much fun. Niner was last in Yosemite about the same time too. We had to cancel our trip last year due to the fires; this trip has been a long time coming.

Can't wait to be surrounded by all the natural beauty!

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. Memorial Day

Sometimes when you have too many options, it becomes difficult to make decisions (at least that's how it works with me). We chose this place because of the amount of reviews on Yelp.. and it was only A-OK. However, that may be our fault for ordering the "plainer" option. The grand size of "Taquise" seemed like the perfect choice for us. It was topped with tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream. We probably should have ordered something with lots of meat and gravy, something packed with flavor. But then, I can also argue that anything with guacamole should be amazing.
