Lizzi's Pre-Wedding Festivities

Lizzi had a tea party at the T-Room in Montrose for her bridal shower. It was everything cute.







 Her last hurrah was at Palm Springs. We stayed at the colorfully fun Saguaro. We spent all day Saturday having a relaxing time at the Hacienda Hot Springs where all the services were amazing. Dinner that evening was at Trio where Lizzi had a bachelorette surprise. We finished off with brunch at Norma's on Sunday. 








I had a sushi dinner with the bride the week before her wedding, cuz a bride has to eat! It was nice to be able to catch up with her solo, away from the festivities.
 We had one last pre-wedding celebration Friday, at Badmaash downtown.
So much fun!

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. Memorial Day

Connecticut!

It's been awhile! We moved to Connecticut so Niner can go to grad school! We've been here for almost 2 months.  So far it's snowed on us four times. Those Nor-Easters were apparently bad this year and lasted until March and April which is not typical. Now it's just raining a lot. We went to one hike at a cool park just down the street from our tiny apartment. There are cherry blossoms everywhere and we found a cute park in New Haven where they were especially abundant. Of course my allergies are acting up. We went to Montreal last week for 3 days which I hope to post about soon. Nacho has been sick since our trip and his stay at the pet hotel. We're in the process of nursing him and his sensitive belly back to normal.  So far it's been different. Mostly we've been applying for jobs. Not much luck yet.
