Little Blue Box, Earned

On the third year my cousin and our group of girls signed up for the SF Nike Women's Half Marathon, we were finally selected! We all headed to SF this weekend to run 13.1 miles, about half of it up and down the city's hills. It was the toughest course I've done but also the prettiest.
Had this yummy pizza the night before at Bartlett Hall and had desert at Hops and Hominy.
The half marathon was on Sunday and started at Union Square with an estimated 25,000 runners.


We celebrated with our friends and celebrated Lizzi's birthday with brunch at Bluestem Brasserie after.
It was so much fun. I love my Tiffany's necklaces, but this little blue box was definitely more valuable because I earned it!

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. Memorial Day

Sometimes when you have too many options, it becomes difficult to make decisions (at least that's how it works with me). We chose this place because of the amount of reviews on Yelp.. and it was only A-OK. However, that may be our fault for ordering the "plainer" option. The grand size of "Taquise" seemed like the perfect choice for us. It was topped with tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream. We probably should have ordered something with lots of meat and gravy, something packed with flavor. But then, I can also argue that anything with guacamole should be amazing.
