Moo's Birthday and Pismo/ SLO Weekend

As a birthday present to Moo, we took her to Pismo for her birthday to visit her good, long time friend Jo Ann. We had a wonderful time on our girls trip. We had a lovely stop at Santa Barbara to have dinner at Relais de Paris and I snuck in some time for a large scoop of McConnell's ice cream which was a couple shops down. We stayed at Pacific Plaza Resort, a one bedroom motel, two blocks from the beach in Oceano. Moo spent most of the time with Jo and they were as cute as little kids having a sleep over. Niner and I had some time to ourselves to wander around town.
Jo's garden was enormous and filled with my favorite pink wild flowers.
Niner and I preparing for our adventures around San Luis Obispo.
First stop, Bubble Gum Alley! We watched a little bit of the World Series at Frog and Peach Pub.
We had lunch at Madonna Inn where everything was pink.

 We caught the sun set.
Jo treated us to brunch at Novo in SLO and we went premium outlet shopping. While the ladies had their sleep over, Niner and I had delicious clam chowder at Splash Cafe. We also had these yummy ribs from Mo's Smokehouse for lunch on our last day.
Here's Moo with her birthday catfish on her actual birthday at Exotic Thai.

It was a nice, relaxing little trip. We'd only ever stopped at SLO on our way home from a tiring trip farther up north and we didn't realize how much closer it actually was. Another weekend trip back would be perfect. :)

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t...

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

La Banquise, Montreal

La Banquise Rating: πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ πŸ“994 Rue Rachel E MontrΓ©al, QC H2J 2J3 Canada πŸ“ž  (514) 525-2415 Visit: May 6, 2018 Poutine is pretty much anywhere and everywhere in Montreal. Sometimes when you have too many options, it becomes difficult to make decisions (at least that's how it works with me). We chose this place because of the amount of reviews on Yelp.. and it was only A-OK. However, that may be our fault for ordering the "plainer" option. The grand size of "Taquise" seemed like the perfect choice for us. It was topped with tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream. We probably should have ordered something with lots of meat and gravy, something packed with flavor. But then, I can also argue that anything with guacamole should be amazing. So I give this place a 3/5 rating, but it is worth going back to, especially since they're open 24/7! Make sure you use your google translate and get in the correct line: dine in or take out. There's a line of peop...
