New England: Cape Cod

After Boston, we began our road trip to marvel at what was left of the autumn foliage by heading east to Cape Cod. We made a quick stop at Plymouth to the see the rock, and to my surprise Mayflower II (a replica of the original) was there as well.

The sun was setting as we went back on the road, crossing the Sagamore bridge. The setting sun created a beautiful orange glow in he sky as the remaining light lit some of the golds and reds of the trees. It was great to still witness the leaves change color in Massachusetts.
We had dinner as soon as we entered Cape Cod at the little town of Sandwich. The stuffed quahog at Marshland that was featured by the Food Network was so good!
That night we stayed in West Yarmouth.
In the morning we drove up the beautiful cape peninsula. We stopped at Provence to have late lunch at The Pot. We had the best and freshest seafood there. That is a cute, colorful, little town. It was colder than we were prepared for, but we walked to the pier a little to enjoy the view and the perfectly cloudy skies.
On our way out of Cape Cod we stopped at Highland Lighthouse.
There was so much we didn't have time for and some places were closed for the season. I would love to visit P-Town again and make it to Martha's Vineyard!

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us! We are at 50infive.us  if you want to
