Boracay: Island Paradise

The first time Kris and I were in Boracay was ten years ago. So much has changed in this island; it has gotten so crowded and so touristy. However we can't deny that it is still very beautiful. The sand is so fine, soft and white, the water is so clear, and the people are so friendly. No wonder it's become such a popular destination. The key is finding the more secluded areas to relax and when you want to be more adventurous, there's plenty of actives to keep you busy.
We went helmet diving which was something new. It was pretty amazing all the colorful fish you get to see and just from wearing a pressurized helmet. We spent a day at Ariel's point. We were taken out on a boat to the island where we hung out all day, kayaking and enjoying the view. We walked through Station 2 where all the souvenir shops and restaurants were. We found the hotel we stayed at the last time which pretty much had the best mango shake in the world. (I dare anyone to prove me wrong.) We lounged around in the evening, shared some hookah and drinks, and even celebrated some kind of Russian holiday (There were many Russian tourists there.). The food was great, there were lots of entertainment, the sunsets were beautiful. It truly was paradise.

Spring Training

My little family went on vacation this past weekend. Nacho visited his friends at Petsmart and Niner and I went to our third Spring Training in Phoenix. Our first game on Saturday was against the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. There was a lot of action near the end when the Indians caught up and tied the game. There was a Mister Softee soft serve truck and Niner tried a Guinness Blondie at the beer cart. That is a nice ballpark and we had a cute time. I even got Ethier's autograph on our Cactus League ball.    We had time for a nice hike and dinner after the game. Niner introduced me to Native American fry bread which was delicious. Sunday we started off with a nice brunch at Province downtown. The game was at the Dodgers' (and white Sox) Camelback Ranch. It was a hot, sunny day, but fun nevertheless. It was lovely to get away for the weekend and we did so much! Can't wait for baseball season to start! We got a mini season plan t

Memorial Day

At the Memorial Day Dodgers game with my love to end a lovely calm weekend. Thanks to those who have served and sacrificed for us, especially my Niner. <3

50 in Five

We've been busy over here, planning our epic road trip to all 50 states. We are quitting our jobs, packing away our stuff, and leaving in just less than TWO weeks! It's the trip we've always dreamed of. It feels so right.  We asked my cousin at Lizzi Photography to take photos at our favorite local park to document this moment. It's so special because she knows me so well and knew my vision. Plus we've never had engagement photos done. We also used props we love and that have a story: a blanket Nan crocheted Niner, Auntie Cayo's cameras, my vintage suitcase called Bomanicious..      It was hard to choose, but here are some of my faves.    Unfortunately, Nacho will not be joining us on our trip. Lucky for us, Moo has agreed to keep him for the five months; and he will have the best time there with his friend Teddy. Still, he couldn't help but join in on the fun and take photos with us! We are at 50infive.us  if you want to
