Life has been moving way too fast these days. The only thing keeping me in is being sick. The only thing bringing me to this page is sadness.. Any minute now, my family in the Philippines will begin my Uncle Eddie's funeral services. Even as life continues here, there has not been a day since I found out of his accident that I have not thought of my sweet uncle, my auntie, my cousins and his grand kids. He was kind, caring, and made every situation better with his light-heartedness. I knew that he was a special part of my life, but due to the distance all these years, I didn't expect to be this affected by his loss. But I am. And I love my cousins so. They were my best friends while I was growing up in the Philippines. I can't even begin to imagine how they must feel.  We lost my uncle on June 25 at 52 years old. He left us too soon. This is yet another reminder of how fragile and short life is. I hope there really is something bigger and better after this life, bec...

It's been a while and there is much to catch up on, but I wanted to check in before we got too far into the new year! Since Niner and I had our Christmas vacation in Paris, I had to work my share of the holidays on NYE. We were still able to celebrate though. Had a gathering at Jen and Randy's in Venice. Niner and I brought our sparkler fireworks and we all had a fun time with those for awhile past midnight. 2012 was amazing. In fact I did too much of the fun stuff and not focus enough on my more serious goals. I'm going to keep those goals simple this year and possibly catch up on 2012. Here it is.. November 6 Hooray to another four years with President Obama! It was starting to worry me there for a second, but the election results came sooner than expected and the best candidate won! I was especially excited that my little brother, Kris, voted for the first time this year and not requiring much coaxing from me at all. Oct 31 My Halloween was busy and full of entertainment. I was able to get some errands done, get my flu shot and spent a little time with my friends at the GBC for the kids Halloween parade. The best part of my day was to finally have a nice, calm evening with my one and only to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. We went to Roy's and had a fabulous meal as expected. Spent the weekend at Puerto Vallarta for our 4th Wedding Anniversary trip. Just had a couple last coronas on tap before we head to the airport and home. Saw The Book of Mormon at the Pantages tonight. Niner has been wanting to see it for awhile now. So glad that they came to LA and we were able to enjoy the musical with our friends. Every year Lizzi and Randy end up having their birthday celebrations on the same night. Mar and I end up splitting up. This year we were both able to celebrate each of their birthdays. :) We went to what was probably our fourth Oktoberfest for Randy's birthday on Saturday. It was a good time, even for the designated driver like myself. Randy had so much fun that he said it was his best birthday ever, and he remembered nothing the next day! On Sunday we celebrated Lizzi's birthday at the Beduya house. Their parties are almost the only time the family gets together now-a-days. Always nice to catch up with the cousins and see the little kiddies run around. They look forward to these gatherings too. :) Yay for a fun weekend. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
