Since the days were shorter and we didn't have much daylight to work with, we decided to head straight to Rhode Island instead of taking the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. We made a stop at Newport just in time to see a magnificent view from the cliff side off of Ruggles Street. The sky was a deep pink and an indigo we've never seen before. It was a lovely walk. The drive through the neighborhoods were impressive as well. The houses in Newport were mansions. Still talking about that beautiful view, we checked out downtown for dinner at Brick Alley Pub. The lobster Mac n Cheese was delicious! That evening we stayed at Providence. We should have gone out that evening because everywhere we wanted to eat was closed on Monday morning. We did find our way down their Little Italy. We were in luck because Cafe Dolce Vita was the only place open that serve breakfast: $2.99 for two eggs, house fries and toast.. You can't beat that! Before we left town we drove around...
