Spring Training

Heading home from another fun Dodgers Spring Training weekend in Glendale, Arizona. No rain or hail to interrupt the games this time. We saw three games and had pretty good seats each time. We even had a little tailgate party for two before today's game.  We missed our boys in blue. Cheers to a great 2014 season!!

Emma and Marco's Wedding

My cousin Emma and I have grown up together and have always been close. We travel together, we have celebrated our birthdays together, and our friends have become friends. We have gotten even closer through the years and seeing her find someone who's made her so happy makes me happy.  Emma and Marco's wedding was perfect. My cousin was the most chill bride; it was so much fun to be one of her bridesmaids. Marlaina and I had a great time and I could tell all her guests did too. We all got ready with Emma at her hotel room at the Marriott in Burbank.   And we escorted her to the church in her limo. The ceremony was pretty and everyone looked great, especially the bride and groom. Emma and Marco looked so happy.  The ceremony was at Elegante Banquet Hall in North Hollywood.  So happy that my cousin found someone who knows her so well and loves her unconditionally. It was a fun night celebrating the start of a new cha...

Emma's Bachelorette Weekend

Of course we had to go to Vegas for Emma's Bachelorette weekend! The weekend was happy, fun, and drama free.. just like my cousin! We spent the first evening at Marquee at the Cosmo. Ready for another night out before dinner looking like the bride-to-be that she is. A crown of male genitalia was obviously necessary for the occasion. After a hilarious night in. Cousins. It was a fun weekend for everyone celebrating Emma's last hurrah before she walks down the aisle!

Quick Hello

It's been quite sometime since I've posted. The little part of me that is OCD wants to catch up with missed posts. However, it's  probably more feasible  that I post short little updates a la Facebook.. So the most recent updates: 1. At the end of January we went on a four-day trip to Lake Tahoe with my middle school friends and my cousin Emma. It was beautiful and  was a perfect little get-a-way filled with drinking games, hot tub time in a cold setting, lots of laughter and playing with snow.  2. At the beginning of February we also went on a week-long trip to Cabo San Lucas with Ryan and Cheryl. The complete opposite trip but just as fun. We ate and drank all day, whether it was by one of our resort's pools or by the beach. We all came back well rested and with nice tans! 3. Starting tomorrow we will be busy with events leading up to Emma's wedding. Then we have a mini trip to Spring Training. I'm both excited and a...

Five Years

Five Years. It's hard to believe. Saying that time flies would be an understatement. All year I've been amazed at the fact that this is our fifth year as a married couple, and now it has really been a full five years and I'm still amazed! Not amazed that we made it this far, but amazed at how quickly time flies. It's true what they say about when you're having fun.. I'm not going to say that the last five years have been easy. Because they weren't. We both lost loved ones. We lost people we both loved. We miss our first puppy everyday. We've both dealt with more than a handful of stressful situations. School. We left our first home. Work. Life definitely did not hesitate to throw us a few curveballs. But we also did a lot of travel, experienced Paris together (for the first time). Laughed. A lot. Shared a love for baseball and the Dodgers. Saw our favorite bands, and in another country. Ate a lot of sushi. Visited the happiest place o...

Sevilla

Our trip from Lisbon to Seville was long. It allowed us to catch up with our sleep, read our books or listen to music. It was also nice to just stare out at the rolling hills. We passed through Alentejo area with its cork and eucalyptus trees. We made stops in towns with white-painted villages and olive and almond plantations. One almost desolate town was so tiny, no one seemed to care that cars were parked on the sidewalks. Seville was nice, especially because our hotel was in town. Most things were walking distance. The supermarket was next door. Our hotel also had a bar and pool on the top, sixth floor. Our first night we went to a flamenco show. The food was tapas style but nothing special. The dancers were beautiful and talented, but we probably could have found a better show on our own. Still, all the colorful outfits and Spanish music were entertaining. Before heading back to the hotel we stopped at La Plaza de EspaƱa which lit up in the evening. We spe...
